Box Score Dominique Washington came off the bench to score 25 points to carry Rockhurst to a 68-64 victory over Saint Joseph's Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
Washington scored 19 points in the second half behind five-of-six 3-point shooting. The senior center made three consecutive 3-point bombs to give the Hawks a 47-46 lead with 12:11 left to play. Washington's jumper late in the shot clock with 11 seconds remaining gave Rockhurst a 66-63 lead.

"That was a great win because we found a way to get it done when our offense was struggling," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "We really defended hard the entire game. Our guys carried over our mindset from Thursday night. It was a great few days."
Adam Fatkin posted eight points and seven rebounds. Alex Hagan collected seven points, nine rebounds and three steals. John Burke added eight points and four rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 48.0 percent from the field (24 of 50) and 70.0 percent from the foul line (14 of 20).
Saint Joseph's shot 38.8 percent from the field (19 of 49) and 29.6 percent on 3-point shots (eight of 27). Jordan Seele paced the Pumas with 17 points and seven rebounds.
The Hawks, 12-11 and 7-8 in the GLVC, host Quincy on Thursday (February 18).
