Box Score Travis House scored a season-high 22 points to lead Rockhurst to an 83-77 victory over William Jewell Wednesday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.
House connected on six-of-10 field goals, including five-of-eight three-pointers. The 6-2 junior guard scored 12 points on four three-pointers to help give the Hawks a 42-34 halftime lead.
"We took care of the ball and did a good job on the boards, the two areas we have focused on. That make us a lot better,"Â said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "Connor (Evans) was real tough to handle in the post; we did a great job of playing around him."
Evans finished with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists. Undra Wilson tallied 11 points and four assists. Kaleb Warner came off the bench to score 10 points. Mason Loewen posted eight points and seven rebounds. Gabe Brown added six points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots.
Rockhurst shot 51.9 percent from the field (27 of 52) and 43.3 percent on three-point field goals (13 of 30). Jewell finished with a 44.1 field goal percentage (26 of 59).
The Hawks (4-4, 1-2 GLVC) will host Rogers State on Saturday, December 10.
