The Rockhurst Hawks (3-3, 0-1 GLVC) host the Quincy Hawks (7-1, 1-0 GLVC) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division matchup at 3 p.m. today. Quincy won their last meeting, 79-74, at Rockhurst last season. Quincy leads the all-time series, 41-31.

Junior forward Alex Hagan leads the Hawks in scoring (16.7) and rebounding (7.0). Kaleb Warner (16.0), Malachi Nix (12.2) and Travis House (10.0) are also averaging in double figures. Nix and sophomore forward Connor Evans are tied for seventh in steals (1.7) in the GLVC. Junior center Gabe Brown leads the GLVC in blocked shots (2.5).

Rockhurst opened conference play at home Thursday with a 72-58 loss to Truman State. Truman State opened the second half on a 16-0 run to take a 51-30 lead. Travis House led the Hawks with 15 points. Malachi Nix posted 12 points and three steals. Will Hrubes came off the bench to score 12 points. Gabe Brown collected eight points, six rebounds and three steals. Connor Evans added eight rebounds.

Quincy is coming off an 85-60 victory at William Jewell Thursday night in their conference opener. Senior guard Von Washington III led Quincy with 24 points. Senior forward Evan McGaughey tallied 15 points and eight rebounds. Senior forward Joseph Tagarelli added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Tagarelli ranks eighth in scoring (17.4) and third in rebounding (10.1) in the GLVC. McGaughey is tied for sixth in rebounding (7.5) in the GLVC. Senior guard Herm Senor II leads the GLVC in assists (6.75) in the GLVC.
