The Rockhurst Hawks (10-8, 5-5 GLVC) meet the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons (7-12, 1-9) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division matchup at 3 p.m. Saturday (January 30) in St. Louis. The Tritons won their last meeting, 77-76, at Rockhurst on Jan. 29, 2015. The Hawks lead the all-time series, 20-19.

"UMSLÂ has lost a lot of close games in the league," said Rockhurst coach
Drew Diener. "With their win against Jewell, they are confident. They really shoot the ball from three well and are good on the defensive end."
Senior forward Dominique Washington leads the Hawks with a 19.0 scoring average. Junior guard Malachi Nix stands 24th in scoring (12.4), first in assists (5.9), 10th in steals (1.6), eighth in assist/turnover ratio and sixth in minutes played (33.2) in the GLVC. Freshman guard Austin LeVan ranks 24th in scoring (12.4) and sixth in 3-point field goals made (2.4) in the GLVC. Sophomore forward Alex Hagan ranks ninth in rebounding (7.1) and fifth in offensive rebounds (2.5) in the GLVC. Junior forward Adam Fatkin stands third in field goal percentage (59.3) in the GLVC.The Hawks rank second in scoring defense (70.1), second in 3-point field goal percentage defense (30.7), fourth in field goal percentage defense (43.1), fifth in turnover margin and fifth in rebounding margin in the GLVC.
Fatkin came off the bench to score a season-high 18 points to lead Rockhurst to a 72-59 victory at Maryville Thursday night. Fatkin made his first eight shots before missing his only shot of the night with 2:15 left in the game. Washington posted 16 points and 10 rebounds.Â
John Burke and LeVan each collected 13 points. Nix totaled a season-high 10 assists and three steals. Hagan added eight rebounds.

The Tritons are coming off a 68-51 win at home over William Jewell Thursday night. Freshman guard Joshua Webster led UMSL with 14 points and eight rebounds. Senior guard Brandon Marquardt leads the Tritons in scoring (14.6, 13th in GLVC) and leads the GLVC in 3-point field goals made (3.3). Junior guard Joseph English ranks fifth in the GLVC in assists (4.2).
