Box Score 2 Rockhurst's senior class, consisting of 17 players, closed out their careers with a pair of wins over Missouri S&T Sunday at Loyola Park.
Seven seniors combined for 12 hits to carry the Hawks to a 12-6 victory in the nightcap. Sophomores
Seth Soto and
Michael Lydon-Lorson led Rockhurst to a 1-0 victory in the first game.
Calin McCourt,
Caleb Baker,
Blake Petersen and
Brandon Weber combined for nine hits and six RBI in the second game. Weber tripled home two runs in the second. Baker collected RBI singles in the fourth and fifth.
Sophomore shortstop
Brett Marr added three hits and finished the season with a team-high .365 batting average.
Thomas Cargile (2-2) allowed one run on three hits over 4.0 innings.
Soto hit a walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the eighth. Soto collected two of the Hawks' six hits. Lydon-Lorson (6-4) blanked the Miners on four hits while striking out five.
Rockhurst ends the season with a 21-29 overall record and 12-22 conference mark.
