Box Score 2 Rockhurst outhit Missouri S&T in both games Saturday, but the Hawks came away with a pair of losses to the Miners in a conference doubleheader at Loyola Park.
The Hawks could not overcome a four-run first inning in dropping the opening game 4-2. Rockhurst scored in the fourth on a double-play grounder and
Blake Petersen singled home a run in the ninth.
Rockhurst posted nine hits compared to S&T's eight hits.
Calin McCourt went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Jake Jones and
David Stober both hit doubles in the loss.
Andrew Ellwanger (1-4) allowed four runs on eight hits over 7.0 innings.
The Miners scored three runs in the third in posting a 6-3 victory in the second game. The Hawks pounded out 10 hits while S&T tallied eight hits.

Seth Soto and
Jake Jones led the Hawks with two hits apiece. Jones delivered RBI singles in the second and sixth.
Grant Otte (3-2) allowed six runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings.
Rockhurst, 19-29 and 10-22 in the GLVC, will close out the season with a noon doubleheader against Missouri S&T on Sunday, May 3.
