Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rockhurst ran into a pair of formidable starting pitchers in suffering 6-3 and 6-2 losses at Drury Saturday in Springfield, Mo.

The Hawks managed nine singles and a double off Drury's Trevor Richards in the first game. Rockhurst scored two runs in the seventh to take a 3-2 lead before Drury scored four runs in the seventh and eighth.

Matt Stacks, Seth Soto and Jake Jones each posted two hits for the Hawks. Stacks, Jeremy Lufft and Patrick Burns collected run-scoring singles. Thomas Cargile (1-1) took the loss in relief of starter Grant Otte.

In the second game, Rockhurst was held to four hits over seven innings by Drury's Austin Faulconer. The Hawks scored an unearned run in the third and Brett Marr hit an RBI double in the sixth. Joe Huber (5-4) allowed five runs on eight hits over 4.1 innings.

Rockhurst, 19-25 and 10-18 in the GLVC, will close out its series at Drury on Sunday afternoon.
