Michael Lydon-Lorson held Bemidji State to five hits over seven innings to lead Rockhurst to a 5-1 victory over the Beavers in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday at Jerry Robertson Field in Topeka.
Lydon-Lorson struck out five with no walks in improving his record to 2-0.
Brett Marr led Rockhurst's 11-hit attack with three hits.

Patrick Burns each collected two hits.
The Hawks scored four runs in the third inning. McCourt singled home the first run and
Blake Petersen hit a two-run double. Burns doubled and scored on an error in the sixth.
In the second game, Bemidji State scored two runs in the seventh to post a 5-3 win over the Hawks.
Marr posted his fourth consecutive three-hit game.
Chase Leavy added two hits. Marr singled home a run in the first. The Hawks took a 3-2 lead in the third on a bases-loaded walk.
Zach Loeffleholz (0-2) allowed four runs on eight hits while striking out six over six innings.
Rockhurst, 6-4, will host Washburn in a single game on Tuesday afternoon at Loyola Park.
