Box Score The Rockhurst Hawks combined for 14 base hits on Sunday (March 1). The Hawks had their best day of the season at the dish collecting four singles, seven doubles, two triples and one home run. Rockhurst was able to run-rule the Prairie Stars 11-1 in seven innings.

Sophomore
Joe Huber got the final start for the Hawks on their trip to Nashville and he did not disappoint. Huber threw a complete game and had a shutout until the fourth inning. In a phenomenal outing, he only gave up two hits the entire game while walking six and striking out seven. Huber moves to 1-1 on the season.

The Hawks scored four runs in the second inning from two singles, two doubles and one home run. They also added a sacrifice fly. In the third inning, Rockhurst went back at it with the bats, scoring three runs on four consecutive doubles with a sacrifice fly mixed in the middle. The Hawks added four more in the fourth inning. Four separate players combined to collect one single, one double and two triples.

Senior right fielder
Calin McCourt led the Hawks attack going 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple. He also added twp RBI and scored three runs on the day. Redshirt senior designated hitter
Matt Stacks also had a good day going 2-for-3 with a double and an opposite field home run.Sophomore third baseman
Seth Soto also had a three-hit day for the Hawks. He recorded one single and two doubles. He had one RBI and scored two runs.

Rockhurst (3-3) will return to action next week (March 6-7), as they take on the Bemidji State Beavers. The Beavers are currently 0-3 and will face Truman State University (March 5) in double-header action. All four games against Bemidji State will be broadcast on the Hawks All Access Network.
