Box Score William Jewell shot the lights out in the second half to pull away for an 87-64 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Mo. The Hawks end the season with a 7-19 record (3-15 in the GLVC).
The Cardinals shot 66.7 percent from the field in the second half while outscoring Rockhurst 55-34 over the final 20 minutes. Jewell made eight-of-13 shots from behind the 3-point line in the second half. The Hawks trailed 32-30 at halftime while holding Jewell to 46.2 percent shooting.
Russell Burns led the Hawks with 14 points and eight rebounds.Â
Adam Fatkin posted 11 points and six rebounds.
Liam Duffy tallied 10 points and three assists.
Josh Roberts added eight points.
Rockhurst shot 39.7 percent from the field (25 of 63) and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line (8 of 9). Jewell connected on 32-of-56 field goals (57.1 percent) and 14-of-24 free throws (58.3 percent). D'Vante Mosby and Jordan Lewis paced the Cardinals with 18 points apiece.
