Box Score Rockhurst outshot McKendree from the field, but could not overcome a free-throw discrepancy in falling to the Bearcats 84-78 Thursday night in Lebanon, Ill.

McKendree sank 32-of-40 free throws, while the Hawks were 14 of 20 at the foul line. In the second half, the Bearcats canned 23-of-28 free throws. McKendree made nine foul shots in the final minute to hold off the Hawks.

Dominique Washington led the Hawks with 19 points. Liam Duffy scored 18 points behind six-of-nine 3-point shooting. Adam Fatkin posted 16 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots.

Rockhurst shot 49.1 percent from the field (28 of 57) and 70.0 percent from the free-throw line (14 of 20). McKendree connected on 22-of-51 field goals (43.1 percent) and 32-of-40 free throws (80.0 percent). Michael Jackson paced the Bearcats with 21 points.

The Hawks, 6-16 and 2-12 in the GLVC, will play at Illinois Springfield on Saturday, Feb. 14.
