The Lions are coming off an 80-73 victory at William Jewell on Saturday. Senior guard Taevaunn Prince led Southern with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Prince ranks 29th in points per game (25.5) and 15th in rebounds per game (13.0) among NCAA Division II players. Former Kansas Jayhawk guard Jeff Boschee is in his second year as the head coach of the Lions."Southern has a real nice ball club. They have some impressive offensive weapons," said Rockhurst coach
Drew Diener. "They shoot it real well and have guys who can get in the paint. Defending them will be a challenge. Taevaunn Prince is putting up incredible numbers, so dealing with him will be important. It is a quick turnaround from Washburn, so our mental prep has to be great.
