Box Score Missouri-St. Louis scored four points in the final minute to rally for a 77-76 victory over Rockhurst on Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.
Russell Burns scored on a three-point play to give the Hawks a 76-73 lead with 1:05 left. The Tritons cut Rockhurst's lead to one point with 49 seconds left. After the Hawks missed a three-pointer with 17 seconds left, UMSL's Tylor Wimbish was fouled and sank two free throws with 4.9 second left. The Tritons stole the Hawks' inbounds pass to secure the win.
Burns led the Hawks with 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Adam Fatkin posted 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.
Dominique Washington collected 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
John Burke added 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Rockhurst shot 49.1 percent from the field (28 of 57) and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line (16 of 20). UMSL connected on 28-of-56 field goals (50.0 percent) and 18-of-23 free throws (78.3 percent).
The Hawks, 5-13 and 1-9 in the GLVC, host Maryville Saturday, Jan. 31.
