Hawks end season with losses at Quincy

Brett Marr posted three hits on the final day of the season at Quincy.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 For the second time in two days, Rockhurst's hitters were baffled by Quincy's pitching. Quincy shut down Rockhurst behind a pair of three-hit shutouts on Sunday in Quincy, Ill.

Rockhurst ends the 2014 season with a 17-31 record and the Hawks finished fifth in the GLVC West with a 15-20 mark.

In the first game, Quincy posted a 1-0 win behind an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Freshman Michael Lydon-Lorson (2-4) allowed seven hits and struck out two in six innings. Freshman shortstop Brett Marr posted two of Rockhurst's three hits.

Quincy scored two unearned runs in the fifth to win the second game, 2-0. Matt McLaughlin (0-1) allowed three hits in his one inning on the mound. Rockhurst only had five base runners in the game.
