Box Score Rockhurst outhit Washburn 14-10, but could only cross the plate three times in falling to the Ichabods 8-3 Tuesday night at RU's Loyola Park.

Washburn scored six unearned runs on three hits in the third inning to take a 6-2 lead. The Hawks left the bases loaded in the second and eighth innings while stranding 12 runners for the game.

Calin McCourt, Josh Dennett, Corbin Hare and Stu Jeck each collected two hits to lead the Hawks. Alex Seier (0-2) allowed four hits over two-plus innings.

The Hawks, 14-26 and 12-15 in the GLVC, host Truman State in a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
