Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rockhurst connected on three solo home runs on the way to posting a 6-5 victory over William Jewell in the second game of a conference doubleheader Wednesday at RU's Loyola Park.

Josh Dennett homered to left field to give the Hawks a 3-2 lead in the third. Stu Jeck and Calin McCourt hit back-to-back homers in the fourth to put Rockhurst back in front 5-4.

Dennett and Jake Jones each collected three hits to lead the Hawks. Jeck and McCourt added two hits apiece. Jake Goessling pitched three innings out of the bullpen to win his second game of the season. Joe Huber threw the final two innings to get his first save of the season.

Jewell edged the Hawks 3-2 in the first game. The Cardinals scored the winning run on a passed ball in the seventh. Brett Marr hit a solo home run in the fourth. Josh Tols (3-5) took the loss in relief of starter Alex Seier.

Rockhurst, 14-21 and 12-11 in the GLVC, play GLVC West leader Drury in a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Friday.
