Box Score Trevecca Nazarene combined for 12 hits off three Rockhurst pitchers to defeat the Hawks 5-2 Friday in the opening game of a three-game series in Nashville, Tenn.

Rockhurst took a 1-0 lead in the third on an RBI single by Josh Dennett. Trevecca scored two runs on four hits in the sixth and added two more runs in the seventh.

David Stober collected two of the Hawks' six hits. He doubled in the third and singled in the fifth. Stu Jeck added a run-scoring single in the ninth. Josh Tols (0-1) allowed two runs on seven hits in five-plus innings.

Rockhurst (0-2) plays a doubleheader at Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday, March 8.
