Box Score Northwest Missouri State exploded for eight runs over the final three innings to move past Rockhurst 10-3 on Wednesday in Maryville, Mo.

The Bearcats scored four runs in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie and posted another four-run frame in the eighth.

Josh Dennett, David Stober and Seth Soto led the Hawks with two hits apiece. Soto doubled home a run in the seventh. Calin McCourt and Brandon Weber drove in the other two runs. Alex Merithew suffered his first loss of the season.

Rockhurst, 6-12 and 5-3 in the GLVC, returns to conference action at Missouri-St. Louis this weekend in a four-game series.
