The Hawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead after three innings and scored four runs in the sixth highlighted by a two-run double by
Stu Jeck. Stober and
Calin McCourt added RBI singles in the sixth.
Senior left-hander
Josh Tols struck out eight over seven innings to pick up his third victory of the season.
Dalton Thompson added two hits to Rockhurst's 10-hit attack.
Springfield rallied from a 3-0 deficit to wIn the first game in 11 innings, 6-3. The Prairie Stars scored three runs in the 11th, set up by the Hawks' fifth error of the game. Springfield scored two runs in the eighth to force extra innings.
Josh Dennett led the Hawks with four hits and an RBI. He leads the team with a .442 batting average. McCourt,

Corbin Hare each collected two hits in the first game.
