Box Score Colorado Mesa scored the first five goals of the game on the way to posting a 16-3 victory over Rockhurst Tuesday in Grand Junction, Colo.

Madison Naes scored an unassisted goal for Rockhurst's first score of the game. Hannah Weisbrod found the nets late in the first half with an assist from Tierney Buschbacher to cut Mesa's lead to 8-2.

Mesa opened the second half with five unanswered goals before Andrea Heinemann scored an unassisted goal with 8:15 left in the game.

Weisbrod and Heinemann led the Hawks with two shots apiece. Kiley Zwick and Buschbacher each collected a team-high three ground balls. Natalie Washington made eight saves in goal.

Rockhurst (0-4) next plays at Colorado College on Saturday.
