Brett Marr broke a tie with a three-run home run in the seventh inning to power Rockhurst to a 10-5 victory over McKendree in the second game of a rescheduled conference doubleheader Monday in Lebanon, Ill. The Hawks were shut out on six hits in the first game, 4-0.
Marr finished with three hits and five RBIs in the second game.
Blake Petersen hit a a two-run single in the fifth and
David Stober added a two-run double in the eighth. Stober and Petersen both went 2-for-5 at the plate.
Stu Jeck and
Josh Dennett each collected two hits.
Jake Goessling blanked McKendree on four hits over four innings to win his first game of the season. Petersen led the Hawks with two hits in the first game.
Rockhurst, 3-7 and 3-1 in the GLVC, will play a single game at Butler University Tuesday afternoon.
