Rockhurst falls to Tritons in St. Louis, 74-56

Box Score Missouri-St. Louis pulled away from Rockhurst down the stretch in posting a 74-56 victory over the Hawks Saturday in St. Louis, Mo.

Rockhurst's Adam Fatkin hit a layup to cap a 12-1 run to cut UMSL's lead to 46-42 with 11:31 left to play. The Tritons scored the next seven points and never trailed by less than 10 points over the final 10 minutes.

Freshman redshirt Andrew Ellwanger scored a career-high 12 points to lead the Hawks. He made all four of his three-point shots. Brandon McCann added 11 points on three-of-10 shooting.

Russell Burns led the Hawks with five rebounds. Nardie Bogues posted a team-high six assists. Rockhurst shot 30.8 percent (16 of 52) from the field, while hitting eight-of-20 three-pointers.

Missouri-St. Louis shot 50.0 percent from the field (26 of 52) and three-point line (seven of 14). The Tritons also won the rebound battle, 40-26.

Rockhurst, 5-13 and 1-10 in the GLVC, returns to the road next week with games at Lewis and Wisconsin-Parkside.
