Box Score Junior guard Josh Roberts scored 24 points to lead Rockhurst to a 78-71 victory over Peru State Friday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

Roberts hit his fourth 3-pointer of the day to key a 13-2 run in the second half, giving the Hawks a 68-57 lead. Roberts connected on five-of-seven shots from the field and was a perfect 10-of-10 at the free-throw line.

Dominique Washington posted 15 points and four rebounds. Adam Fatkin added 13 points, four rebounds and three blocked shots. Russell Burns led the Hawks with seven rebounds and two steals.

The Hawks shot 37 percent from the field (20 of 54) while making 44-percent of their 3-point shots (11 of 25). Rockhurst won the game at the free-throw line, sinking 27-of-31 free throws (87.1 percent). Peru State shot 41.9 percent from the field (26 of 62) and 47.4 percent from the foul line (9 of 19). The Bobcats won the rebound battle, 43-34.

Rockhurst (2-2) will host Haskell on Saturday.
