Box Score Northwest Missouri State held Rockhurst to 37-percent shooting in rolling to an 82-58 victory over the Hawks Saturday night at the Hillyard Tip-Off Classic in St. Joseph, Mo.

The Bearcats closed the first half on a 12-4 run to grab a 39-25 halftime lead. Northwest Missouri opened the second half on a 19-11 run to take a 56-36 lead with 13:46 left in the game.

Russell Burns led the Hawks with 10 points and four rebounds. Dominique Washington came off the bench to post eight points and four rebounds.

The Hawks were limited to 20-of-54 shooting from the field, while Northwest Missouri shot 49.1 percent from the field (27 of 55). The Bearcats also won the battle of the boards, 37-34.

Rockhurst (1-2) will return home to host Peru State on Friday.
