Rockhurst suffers road setback in Indianapolis

Box Score Indianapolis held Rockhurst to 38-percent shooting in rolling to a 85-59 victory over the Hawks Thursday night at UIndy's Nicoson Hall.

The Hawks connected on 19 of 50 field goals, while Indianapolis shot 55.2 percent on 32-of-58 field goals. The 19th-ranked Greyhounds outscored Rockhurst in the paint, 38-18.

Indianapolis went on a 24-10 run in the first half to take a 43-27 halftime lead. Rockhurst enjoyed a 23-12 run in the second half to pull within 10 points, 60-50, with 7:36 left in the game. The Greyhounds closed the game on a 25-9 run.

Russell Burns led the Hawks with 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals. James Robinson posted eight points and three steals. Andrew Ellwanger collected eight points and three rebounds. Brandon McCann, Nardie Bogues and David Wingerson each finished with seven points.

The Hawks, 4-7 overall and 0-4 in the GLVC, play at Saint Joseph's on Saturday at 3 p.m.
