Box Score An uncanny shooting performance in the second half by Truman State led the Bulldogs to an 88-71 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.
Rockhurst pulled with five points at 54-49 on a three-pointer by
Brandon McCann with 14:44 left in the second half. The Bulldogs scored the next 12 points to take a 66-49 lead, eventually widening their lead to 29 points with just over five minutes left to play.
Truman, which made 18 of its first 22 shots in the second half, scored 51 points in the second half on 69-percent shooting (20 of 29). The Bulldogs shot 57.6 percent for the game on 34-of-59 shooting while scoring 42 points in the paint.

Rockhurst connected on 26-of-66 field goals for 39.4 percent shooting. The Hawks shot 63.2 percent from the foul line (12 of 19).
McCann led the Hawks with 13 points on five-of-14 field goals.
Russell Burns posted 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Liam Duffy and
David Wingerson both finished with eight points.
Adam Fatkin led the team with eight rebounds.
The Hawks, 5-10 and 1-7 in the GLVC, host Quincy on Saturday at 3 p.m.
