Box Score 2 All nine starters collected two or more hits to power Rockhurst to a 20-17 win over Drury in the second game of a doubleheader on Monday in Springfield, Mo. The victory broke an eight-game losing streak dating back to April 16.
Senior catcher 
Nick Lichtenberger led the 25-hit attack with four hits and six RBIs. Lichtenberger's two-run home run in the sixth broke a 12-12 tie. He also drove in two runs with a double in the first and singled home a run in the seventh.
Tyler Gans and 
Jordan Eckley also finished with four hits. Gans drove in three runs, while Eckley had two RBIs. 
Patrick Chandler went 3-for-6 to raise his team-high batting average to .383. 
Josh Dennett and 
Jordan Stull combined for four hits and four RBIs. 
Joey Greco, 1-1, picked up the win in relief of starter 
Alex Seier. 
Jacob Dahlgren shut down Drury over the final two-plus innings to pick up his first save of the season.
Drury held on to win the first game, 12-10. The Hawks left the bases loaded in the final inning after rallying from a 10-1 deficit after four innings. Chandler connected on a three-run home run in the sixth. Dennett hit a two-run double in the fifth. Chandler and Dennett combined for five hits and five RBIs. Gans and Stull each posted two hits.
The Hawks (17-23, 12-20 GLVC) host Washburn in a single game on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The game was moved up one day due to rain in the forecast on Wednesday.
