Box Score Rockhurst allowed three unearned runs in falling to Cedarville, 5-2, in the Hawks' final game on their spring break trip Saturday in Clearwater, Fla.

A passed ball on an innnig-ending strikeout led to two runs for Cedarville in the fourth inning. Cedarville padded its lead in the eighth with the aid of a passed ball and error in right field. Zach Loeffelholz (0-1) allowed four hits and three walks while striking out three in four-plus innings. Alex Seier struck out four in 3-plus innings, while giving up three hits and two runs.

The Hawks scored unearned runs in the first and sixth innings. Tyler Gans, Anthony Davis and Brandon Tangney each collected two hits for Rockhurst. which stranded 10 runners.

The Hawks (4-3) open conference play at home on Saturday, March 16 against Southern Indiana.
