Box Score 2 An eight-run fifth inning led Rockhurst to an 11-4 victory over Bellarmine in the second game of a conference doubleheader Saturday in Louisville, Ky. The Hawks dropped the first game, 8-4.
Patrick Chandler doubled home two runs in the fiifth and added a solo home run in the ninth. Chandler's homer was the Hawks' first home run of the season.
Josh Baker also drove in three runs with two hits.
Tyler Gans led the 15-hit Rockhurst attack with three hits.
Brandon Tangney and
Anthony Davis combined for four hits and three RBIs.
Andrew Watts added a two-run double in the ninth.
Trenton Perry collected his first win of the season. He allowed six hits and three runs over six innings.
Derec Olson and
Alex Seier pitched the final three innings.
Bellarmine got off to a quick start in the first game. The Knights scored two runs in the second inning and three runs in the third. eighth.
