The Rockhurst women's tennis team opened the 2013 spring season with a 9-0 victory over Baker Friday at RU's Loyola Park Tennis Courts.

Rockhurst swept the double matches by 8-1, 8-3 and 8-1 scores. In singles play, the Hawks won all of their sets. Karsyn Betts and Christine Schatz won No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Alex Schelble, Kim de Groot, Kim Vrugteveen and Tylar Searcy also collected singles victories.

The Hawks will play at Newman on Friday, Feb. 15 at 11:00 a.m.
