Missouri-St. Louis pulled away in the final minutes to post a 73-65 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Tritons made seven-of-eight free throws in the final 34 seconds to win their 10th game of the season. UMSL outscored the Hawks 18-3 from the foul line for the game. The Tritons also hit nine-of-26 3-point shots.
Liam Duffy scored a season-high 14 points on five-of-seven shooting from the field. Brett Hornung finished with a career-high 13 points and nine rebounds. James Robinson added nine points, eight assists and two steals.
Rockhurst outrebounded UMSL, 35-29, while scoring 25 second chance points. The Hawks, 1-11 and 0-5 in the GLVC, host Maryvillle on Saturday.
