Rockhurst men's soccer continues Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play this week with a pair of matches, traveling to Missouri S&T on Wednesday (Sept. 16) before returning home Saturday (Sept. 19) to host Quincy in the Battle of the Hawks.

The Hawks enter the week with a 2-3-1 overall record and a 1-1-1 mark in GLVC play. Rockhurst is coming off a scoreless draw at Lewis on Saturday (Sept. 12) and will look to get back into the win column with two conference matches on the schedule.

Rockhurst has scored six goals through six matches this season, with six different Hawks finding the back of the net. Sam McIntosh and Blake Barrick lead the Hawks with eight shots apiece, while Barrick has recorded a .375 shots-on-goal percentage and one assist. As a team, Rockhurst has put 37.5 percent of its shots on target while recording three assists.

Freshman goalkeeper Luke Strueby has started the Hawks' last few matches and has made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season. Strueby has recorded five saves while allowing just two goals during his recent stretch in goal.

Rockhurst opens the week Friday at Missouri S&T with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Miners enter the match with a 4-1 record and are ranked No. 22 nationally. Missouri S&T has scored 10 goals this season and has put 41.8 percent of its shots on goal.

Mike Banasik leads the Miners with three goals and six points, putting 80 percent of his shots on target. Ian Connor has added one goal and two assists, while goalkeeper Cavitt Bruhn has recorded 13 saves and two shutouts.

Quincy enters the matchup with a 3-1-2 overall record and a 2-0-1 mark in GLVC play after earning a 1-0 victory over then-No. 13 Missouri S&T last week..

Five different Hawks have scored for Quincy this season, with Aiden Durbin, Santino Moriconi, Connor Pate, Antonio Sasso and Kacper Sikon each finding the back of the net once. Moriconi leads the team with nine shots and four shots on goal, while Pate has recorded five shots with three on target.

Goalkeeper Matija Blazic has recorded 11 saves and helped Quincy post two shutouts this season.
