Rockhurst men's golf returns to action Monday (Sept. 14) and Tuesday (Sept. 15) at the Midwest/Central Regional Preview at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan. Grand Valley State University hosts the two-day tournament, which serves as an early-season preview of the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional field.

The Meadows is a par-71, 7,026-yard course that will provide the Hawks with their second tournament of the fall season and an opportunity to bounce back after finishing 17th in a 20-team field at The Mule last week in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Rockhurst opened the season with 28 birdies and 159 pars over 54 holes at Mules National Golf Club. Bryce Renz led the Hawks with 14 birdies, while Kingston Solomon and Landon McNitt each recorded nine. Solomon also turned in Rockhurst's strongest performance on par-5 holes, finishing 4-under for the tournament. Adam Challoner posted the Hawks' best mark on par-3 holes at 1-over.

The Hawks will look to carry those individual highlights into a deeper regional field this week. The Midwest/Central Regional Preview gives Rockhurst an early opportunity to compete on a course and against opponents that could provide valuable preparation for the NCAA postseason later in the year.

Following last week's season-opening tournament, Rockhurst will look to build momentum at The Meadows as the Hawks continue their fall schedule.
