The Rockhurst men's golf team opens the 2026-27 season Tuesday (Sept. 8) at The Mule Invitational at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The Hawks are part of a 20-team field competing at Mules National, with the tournament featuring a strong MIAA presence along with two other Great Lakes Valley Conference teams in William Jewell and Upper Iowa.

Rockhurst returns four golfers who competed in last year's NCAA Men's Golf Central/Midwest Regional, including senior Kingston Solomon, senior Adam Challoner, senior Ashton Vinton and junior Bryce Renz. Solomon led the Hawks at the NCAA Regional, tying for 25th with a 54-hole score of 220 after firing a four-under-par 68 in the final round. Challoner tied for 39th at 223, while Renz finished tied for 77th at 230 and Vinton tied for 91st at 236.

Joining the returning group in the season-opening lineup is Landon McNitt. The Hawks are expected to compete with Kingston Solomon, Landon McNitt, Adam Challoner, Ashton Vinton and Bryce Renz.

The Mule Invitational provides Rockhurst with its first opportunity to establish its identity for the new season as the Hawks begin their fall schedule against a deep field at Mules National Golf Club.
