Rockhurst's Ella Coleman has been named the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's tennis. She also was the 2025 GLVC Scholar-Athlete awardee.

The GLVC announced 19 student-athletes from eight different GLVC schools and two associate members as 2025-26 Scholar-Athletes of the Year.

Coleman was named the GLVC Player of the Year and First Team All-GLVC for the third straight year. She tallied a 15-1 record in singles matches and 14-4 in doubles, finishing the season ranked No. 46 in singles.

The junior from Bentonville, Arkansas helped the Hawks win the GLVC West Division title while posting a 14-5 record. The Hawks advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row and finished sixth in the Midwest Region.

Coleman achieved a perfect 4.0 spring semester GPA to land on Rockhurst's Dean's List, holding a 3.83 cumulative GPA. She also earned CSC Academic All-America and All-District recognition, along with ITA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-GLVC honors.

The GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award is presented to one student-athlete in each conference sport, recognizing outstanding athletic achievement — both individual and team — along with academic excellence during the year in review. Nominees must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, in line with Academic All-America standards, and must not be freshmen or first-year transfers. Voting is conducted by the Faculty Athletics Representatives (FARs) from each GLVC member institution.
