Balanced attack leads Hawks to 14-1 win

Thirteen different players collected base hits to carry Rockhurst to a 14-1 victory over Saint Mary Wednesday night at Loyola Park.

Afton Koch led the 14-hit attack with run-scoring singles in the first and second innings.

Michael Laudando hit a two-run home run to center and Dakota Hanna went deep with a solo shot over the left-field fence in the first.

Jack Miller and Colton Wemhoff both posted two-run doubles in the third.

The Hawks scored four runs in the first and eight runs in the fourth to take an 13-0 lead.

Sam Owens (1-0) shut out Saint Mary on one hit and struck out one in 3.0 innings.
