Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men improve record to 7-3 with two wins

The Rockhurst men's tennis team collected wins over Newman and Baker last weekend. The Hawks defeated Newman, 7-0, in Wichita on Friday and posted a 6-1 win over Baker at the Plaza Tennis Center on Saturday.

Alex Tikhonov and Alexi Khamrotau won their No. 1 doubles match and were straight set winners in No. 1 and 2 singles. Ollie Dickason and Diego Schtulmann teamed up to win No. 2 doubles and won their No. 3 and 5 singles matches in two sets.

Dickason came back the next day to win No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles with Schtulmann against Baker. Schtulmann won his No. 3 singles match. Dylan Rainwater and Ben Van Landingham also won in singles play.

The Hawks (7-3) host William Jewell on Saturday at the Plaza Tennis Center.
