Men win conference opener over Jewell

The Rockhurst men's tennis team opened conference play with a 7-0 victory over William Jewell on April 11.

The Hawks swept all six singles matches in straight sets. Alex Tikhonov and Alexi Khamrotau won their No. 1 and 2 singles matches, in addition to teaming up to win No. 1 doubles by a 6-2 score.

Ollie Dickason and Josef Truhlar won No. 2 doubles, 6-1. Diego Schtulmann and Arvav Gannavaram captured No. 3 doubles, 6-0. Dickason, Creed Skinner, Schtulmann and Dylan Rainwater won their singles matches.

On April 14, the Hawks fell to William Woods, 5-2, at the Plaza Tennis Center. Schtulmann won in No 5 singles, while No. 1 and 2 doubles teams both won.

The Hawks (8-4, 10-0 GLVC) play Drury on April 17 in Springfield, Missouri.
