Shay Spadaro and Lucas Tran each tallied 13 kills to lead Rockhurst to its sixth win a row, a 3-0 victory against Quincy on Friday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
All six Rockhurst wins in this winning streak have finished in three sets. RU has now won 12 of its last 13 matches.
Rockhurst won the first set, 25-19 and the second set, 25-21. In the third set, Rockhurst trailed 23-20 before a 4-1 run tied it at 24-24. RU trailed three other times in the third set before ending the match on a 3-0 run to win 30-28.
Tyler Zippay had a team-leading 39 assists. Spadaro (seven), Ryan Collins (six), Quentin Huhman (five), Zippay (five) and Tran (four) combined for 27 digs. Huhman tallied nine kills.
RU had 46 kills, five team blocks, 45 assists, 31 digs and a .314 hitting percentage.
Rockhurst (16-10, 9-1 GLVC) travels to St. Louis, Missouri to face Maryville on Friday, April 10 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m.
