Men win 3-0; extend winning streak to five in a row

Aron DeRoy led Rockhurst with 10 kills and a .909 hitting percentage to power the Hawks to a 3-0 victory over Quincy Thursday at Mason-Halpin Field House. Rockhurst has now won five in a row (all in three sets) and are winners of 11 of its last 12 matches.

In the first set, Rockhurst won 25-18. RU earned a 25-20 win in the second set and a 25-13 victory in the third set.

Quentin Huhman posted nine kills, seven digs and two service aces. Lucas Tran added eight kills.

Wesley Yusk tallied seven kills and a team-high five blocks. Tyler Zippay tallied 28 assists, four digs and two service aces.

Rockhurst finished with 39 kills, 32 assists, 21 digs, six service aces and seven team blocks. RU finished with a .338 hitting percentage.

The Hawks (15-10, 8-1 GLVC) host Quincy again on Friday.
