Hawks deliver wins at Maryville, UIS

The Rockhurst men's tennis team posted two wins on the road last weekend. The Hawks defeated Maryville, 6-1, in St. Louis on Saturday and collected a 4-3 win at Illinois Springfield on Sunday.

Alex Tikhonov won his No. 1 singles match in three sets and teamed with Creed Skinner to win No. 3 doubles against Maryville. Alexi Khamrotau and Ollie Dickason won their singles matches and teamed to win No. 1 doubles.

Rockhurst rallied from a 1-0 deficit to edge Springfield. Khamrotau, Dickason, Diego Schtulmann and Dylan Rainwater each won in two sets in singles play. Skinner and Tikhonov won their No. 3 doubles match, 6-1.

The Hawks (5-3) play Northeastern State on Wednesday at the Plaza Tennis Center.
