Zippay leads Hawks to 3-0 win over Thomas More

Tyler Zippay posted 29 assists, four digs and two service aces to lead Rockhurst to a 3-0 win over Thomas More on Saturday in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

The Hawks are now on their second four-game winning streak of the season, with all four wins coming in straight sets. Overall, Rockhurst has won 10 of its last 11 matches.

Rockhurst won set one, 25-17, and set two, 25-19. RU finished the match by scoring the last six points to win the third set, 25-14.

Quentin Huhman, Wesley Yusk and Lucas Tran combined for 17 kills. Yusk and Shay Spadaro each tallied two service aces.

Spadaro and Jack McMillen led the Hawks with two blocks. Ryan Collins had a team-high six digs.

The Hawks finished with 34 kills, eight service aces, five team blocks, 32 assists and and 23 digs. RU also finished with a .409 hitting percentage.

Rockhurst (14-10, 7-1 GLVC) faces Quincy on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Mason-Halpin Field House.
