Hanna hits three homers in 12-10 loss at Missouri S&T

Dakota Hanna hit three home runs and drove in six runs as Rockhurst opened a weekend series with a 12-10 loss to Missouri S&T Friday in Rolla, Missouri.

The Miners (14-10, 7-2 GLVC) scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-6 lead and added three runs in the seventh to go up 11-8.

Hanna led the Hawks with four hits, three runs scored and one stolen base. He hit a solo home run to right-center in the fourth, a three-run homer to left in the fifth, and a two-run blast to center in the seventh.

Colton Wemhoff posted two hits and scored three runs. Josh Syfert added a solo home run to left in the eighth.

Landon Carr (4-3) allowed six runs on seven hits in 3.0 innings.

The Hawks (18-8, 7-6 GLVC) play a doubleheader at Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon.
