Flournoy shot lifts Hawks past Missouri S&T

Jaden Flournoy sank a game-winning three-pointer with 6.4 seconds left to push 23rd-ranked Rockhurst past Missouri S&T, 65-64, Thursday night in Rolla, Missouri.

Rockhurst has now reached 20 wins in a season for the first time since 2002 and remain in sole possession of first place in the conference with three games to go. The Hawks have also won eight in a row and 12 of their last 13.

In the final seconds, the Miners had two shots near the basket to win the game, but the Hawks held on for the win.

Jaylen Wesley led all scorers with 21 points, while posting six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Drenin Dinkins talked 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Flournoy collected 10 points and eight rebounds. Jack Scott notched six points and three rebounds.

The Hawks shot 39.3 percent (24-of-61) from the field, 24 percent (6-of-25) from the three-point line, and 61.1 percent (11-of-18) from the free-throw line.
