Hawks win seventh straight with 88-75 victory

Four players scored in double figures to push Rockhurst past Drury for an 88-75 victory Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Saturday's win marks the first time Rockhurst has won 19 games in a season since the 2008-09 season. It was also the Hawks' seventh win a row and their 11th in their last 12 games.

During their winning streak, the Hawks have won all seven games by 10 or more points. Rockhurst will head into next week in sole possession of first place in the GLVC with a 13-3 conference record.

In the second half, Drury went on an 8-2 run to cut the Rockhurst lead to three at 57-54 with 11:36 left. London Burton scored the Hawks' next eight points to increase the RU lead to 65-58 at the 9:02 mark. The Hawks led by five or more points the rest of the game.

Drenin Dinkins scored 23 points with three rebounds and two assists. Jaylen Wesley had 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. 

Jaden Flournoy tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds, his third double-double of the season. Micah Deaver recorded 10 points and five rebounds. 

The Hawks shot 56.5 percent (35-of-62) from the floor and 33.3 percent (7-of-21) from the three-point line. Rockhurst shot 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the free-throw line.
