Rockhurst falls to No. 11 Lewis in three sets

The Rockhurst men's volleyball team fell to No. 11 Lewis in straight sets on Friday night in Romeoville, Illinois.

Lewis won the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-14. The Flyers clinched the match with a 28-26 win in the third set. 

Shay Spadaro (seven), Quentin Huhman (seven) and Will Sutphen (six) combined for 20 kills. Tyler Zippay led the Hawks with 21 assists. Spadaro collected a team-high two service aces.

The trio of Sutphen (seven), Ryan Collins (six) and Spadaro (4) tallied 17 digs. Aron DeRoy led Rockhurst with three blocks.

The Hawks finished with 26 kills, 26 assists, six service aces, four team blocks and 24 digs.

Rockhurst (4-8) faces No. 8 Loyola Chicago on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Chicago.
