Wesley matches career-high 33 points in win at TSU

Jaylen Wesley tied his career-high of 33 points in a 92-74 win over Truman State Saturday in Kirksville, Missouri. The Hawks have now won four in a row and eight of their last nine.

Rockhurst outscored Truman 34-12 in the final 10 minutes. The Bulldogs went on a 10-6 run to take a 62-58 lead with 10:09 left. The Hawks answered with a 26-4 run to take an 84-66 lead with 3:54 left.

Rockhurst went into halftime with a 39-34 lead. The trio of Jaden Flournoy (11 points), Drenin Dinkins (10 points) and Wesley (eight points) combined for 29 first-half points.

Wesley shot 93.8 percent (15-of-16) from the free-throw line and collected 15 rebounds, notching his fourth double-double of the season. His 15 rebounds were a season-high and the most he's collected in a single game as a Hawk.

Dinkins tallied 28 points with seven rebounds, two steals and two assists. He was also 92.3 percent (12-of-13) from the three-throw line. His streak of consecutive made free throws ended at 39, six short of tying the school record.

Flournoy tallied 13 points, three rebounds and two assists. Micah Deaver and Dillon Mong both had six points and four rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 45.6 percent (26-of-57) from the field and 91.9 percent (34-of-37) from the free-throw line. The Hawks also shot 31.6 percent (6-of-19) from three.
