Late run pushes Drury past Hawks, 104-98

A late run by Drury pushed the Panthers past Rockhurst, 104-98, on Friday in Springfield, Missouri.

A 20-5 Rockhurst run put the Hawks up 70-68 with 9:14 left. The game was later tied at 81 before the Panthers retook an 87-81 lead at the 4:05 mark and led for the remainder of the game.

Drenin Dinkins led all scorers with 32 points and added four rebounds, notching his first 30-point game as a Hawk. Peyton Newbern and Jaylen Wesley tallied 16 points each. Newbern's 16 points was a season-high. 

Newbern also added seven rebounds, while Wesley recorded five assists. Jack Scott also collected a season-high 14 points, and finished with four rebounds and four blocks.

The Hawks shot 50 percent (33-of-66) from the floor and 37.5 percent (9-of-24) from the three-point line. Rockhurst also shot 79.3 percent (23-of-29) from the free-throw line.
