Rockhurst ends Hawaii trip with 3-0 loss

The Rockhurst men's volleyball team fell in three sets to third-ranked Hawaii on Friday afternoon in Honolulu, O'ahu.

Hawaii won the first set, 25-19, and the second set, 25-9. The Rainbow Warriors clinched the match with a 25-15 victory in the third set.

Will Sutphen led the Hawks with six kills and two blocks. Nathan Jacques posted 14 assists. Lucas Tran tallied a team-high five digs with five kills. Shay Spadaro notched four kills and three digs. Nate Barton also collected three digs.

Rockhurst finished with 24 kills, 21 assists, 23 digs and five blocks.

The Hawks (1-4) host Central State on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
