Rockhurst Men's Volleyball fell in four sets to third-ranked Hawaii on Wednesday in Honolulu, O'ahu.
The Rainbow Warriors won the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-19. In the third set, Rockhurst used a 6-2 run to take a 22-18 lead before winning 25-23. Will Suphen led the Hawks with four kills and a .429 hitting percentage in set three.
Hawaii clinched the match by winning the fourth set, 25-13.
Sutphen, Shay Spadaro and Lucas Tran each tallied a total of eight kills. Nathan Jacques collected team highs in assists (28) and service aces (three), while tying a team-high in blocks (three).
Wesley Yusk and Spadaro also recorded three blocks. Ryan Collins, Jacques and Spadaro each notched five digs.
The Hawks finished with 33 kills, 32 assists, 19 digs, five service aces and eight blocks.
Rockhurst (1-3) faces Hawaii for the second time in three days on Friday at 3 p.m. Central Time in Honolulu.
